A new and exciting development in diabetes management is called Continuous Glucose Monitoring or CGM. A CGM uses an embedded sensor in the interstitial fluid to gather blood glucose levels day and night without having to prick your finger. 

 

This project is in the very early stages of development. While our mechanical design team works on the sensor, I wanted to create a reader app concept to present to the Marketing team.

 

The video shows very initial concepts while the device requirements are defined. This reader app would collect the data from the sensor to show the user their blood sugar levels and trends. I wanted to keep the interface simple, informative, and fun.

 

The user can see their last 2 hours of readings on the home page. Yellow, green, and red let the user know if their readings are above, within, or below target - similar to the existing Contour app.
